“Signora, between Austria and Italy, there is a section of the Alps called the Semmering. It is an impossibly steep, very high part of the mountains. They built a train track over these Alps to connect Vienna and Venice. They built these tracks even before there was a train. They built it because they knew some day the train would come.” ~ From the movie, “Under the Tuscan Sun”
And so it is with visualization and manifestation. When you have a vision you must hold that vision and take steps every day to make that vision become a reality. If you have a vision and do nothing with it, it will naturally fade from your consciousness.
Taking steps to bring your vision into manifested form is the first thing required that you do after you have been “hit” with a creative idea. The next step which is paramount to the manifestation of the desired end result is to know that it will manifest and to act “as if” it has already happened.
When you act as if your dream has come true and feel the feelings of what that is like for you, you give uber-power to your vision becoming a reality. See yourself already living in the reality of your vision. Feel it, taste it, hear it, smell it—whatever your dream is live in the reality of it with all your senses. Then throw in a lot of gratitude for good measure. If you continue doing this your subconscious mind will get the message and your dream can’t help but manifest.
One more step that will really amp up your manifesting power is to join with your superconscious mind, the Mind of God. If you ask Divine Intelligence to help you manifest your vision ‘for the highest good of all involved’, watch out! When you connect with that Higher Power and know that It is the Source of everything, of all your good, you become a co-creator with Spirit.
Knowing and understanding Source Energy and knowing about and understanding the co-creative relationship with this Higher Intelligence puts you in a wonderful position to manifest all of your dreams. Sometimes they may show up looking a little different than you imagined. If you understand the Laws of Co-creation and Manifestation you will know that your manifestations show up exactly in the way they are meant to. Don’t doubt them, don’t doubt the process. Receive the gift you’ve been given knowing it is for your highest good. It will make sense to you if you allow it.
One more thing to remember is that God’s timing is perfect. You can put a time-frame on your vision becoming a reality, and it very well could show up in that time-frame. If it doesn’t you have to trust and surrender to the Law of Perfect Timing. And you have to keep believing and keep the faith that it will manifest at the exact time it is meant to. Don’t doubt it, don’t doubt the process.
If you lay the track before the train is built you have started the process of having your dreams come true. If you lay the track knowing that the train will follow, the Universe will oblige you and see to it that your vision becomes a reality.
Receive the vision, act on it, believe that it will take form from your original idea, act ‘as if’ it is already here, be grateful for it now, go into your superconscious mind and ask for help from the Divine Mind and then co-create with Spirit and know that it will manifest in Divine Time, don’t doubt and do trust the process. Then, sit back and watch your train melodically flowing down those tracks you laid with such deliberate intention!
Thanks for stopping by my playground of transformation! Come back soon and bring your family and friends. Feel free to comment or ask a question. And, have a glorious time in this beautiful spring weather!

“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” Abraham Lincoln
It is my birthday as I write this, and as with every birthday in each passing year the day gives me pause for reflection. I reflect on the last year and look at it with a scrutinizing spiritual, metaphysical eye. What did I do with those 365 days? Did I fill them with joy and adventure and love? Did I do things to evolve my consciousness and transcend my ego just a little bit more? Did I take each experience and learn from it and grow? Did I contribute to the higher good?
As I sit and review my life of the past year I remember something I heard once and it still resonates with me today. It is that maturity has more to do with the types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated. I’m not taking anything away from celebration because I believe we all deserve to be celebrated. I am saying that the lessons we’ve learned from our experiences are the fodder for wisdom—the more we’ve learned and grown from the lessons, the wiser and more mature we become.
Reflecting on the past year of my life I see that the lessons from my experiences are a lot about trust and faith. They are not about blind faith, rather a natural faith from a knowing deep within my essence. They are about an understanding of a Truth that I intuitively know that something much bigger is going on than my physical eyes can see. The lessons are about letting go of my will and resting in the will and love of my Beloved and trusting in the guidance I receive from my Essential/Authentic Self.
Learning to relax and move with the flow of my divinity without doubt, without questioning has changed my Reality immensely. I no longer struggle with those things I cannot change. I no longer resist what is. I just surf with the flow of Divine Wisdom and know that the Universe is always there to support me. It may sometimes look different than what I expected, but I am always taken care of. This is validated as I reflect not only on the past year, but also in years gone by.
I’ve learned to let go of my agenda as to when things ‘should’ happen in my life. When things aren’t happening according to my plan I just breathe, go inward and remember that God’s timing is perfect, that maybe just maybe a delay is in my best interest and it will all unfold at the perfect time in the perfect way. This allowing for Divine timing brings peace and ease to my life and a smile to my face.
This past year has shown me that there is a Divine Order to everything and if I Just ask, my solutions will be shown to me. I’ve learned the difference between forced manifestations and simply asking for my desires to be manifested for the highest good of all involved. I’ve learned how to ask and then release my asking, knowing that I will be shown the right path or course to take or the right decision to make. More than anything I’ve learned to be grateful this year. I am grateful for the many blessings and beauty in my life. I am grateful for my family and all the people who have loved and supported me. I am grateful for the graces that I have received, for my health, my creativity, all the abundance around me, and even for my challenges.
This year has been full of life for me and looking back on this illuminates this truth for me. I encourage you, whenever your birthday is, to take the time for reflection and see how far you’ve come in the year since your last birthday. Be grateful for your growth and transformation and make a commitment to put life in your years, not just years in your life.
Thank you for coming to my playground of transformation. I enjoy having you here, expanding your joyfulness and gratitude. I appreciate your comments as well as your sharing.
Much Love To You!

“Art is the perception and depiction of the Sublime, the Transcendent, the Beautiful, the Spiritual. Art is a window to God, an opening to the Goddess, a portal through which you and I, with the help of the artist, may discover depths and heights of our soul undreamt of by the vulgar world. Art is the eye of Spirit, through which the Sublime can reach down to us, and we up to It, and be transfigured and transformed in the process. Art, at its best, is the representation of your very own soul, a reminder of who and what you truly are, and therefore can become.” ~ Ken Wilber
Are you an aspiring artist or have you ever wanted to be? Have you longed to put something of yourself on canvas but that limiting voice inside keeps telling you you could never be creative enough to paint anything? This very voice stalled my creativity for many years until finally I was able to own my creative self and put my unsupportive self-talk to rest.
I signed up for a full day intuitive process painting class recently. That annoying, nagging little voice was persistent in telling me I was crazy and “good luck.” In spite of it I was excited as the day for the class approached. I was also admittedly a little anxious because, after all, I was not an artist and I really knew nothing about painting. I had taken a painting class forty years prior but had forgotten anything I had learned then. And, what about the other people in the class, not to mention the teacher? What would they think of my amateur ability to produce anything?
The night before the class I spent some time with affirmations and called upon Source and asked for help in believing in myself and knowing that I AM a creative being. I went to sleep with those thoughts embracing me and with a prayer of gratitude on my lips. When I woke in the morning I felt empowered and ready to paint with no trace of doubt that I could do it. I remembered and I knew it wouldn’t be me painting anyway, that Spirit would be working and evolving through me and that the process would be transformative. I was ready and I was saying a big “yes” to a creative day.
There were eight of us in the class, three including myself who had limited experience if any in painting. I kept thinking of “beginners mind” which is a term used often in evolutionary language. I was going to approach this experience with a beginner’s mind, free of any prior knowledge or expectations that might skew my perception of what was going to emerge on my canvas.
We began by standing in front of our respective canvas just gazing into it and were instructed to just keep looking until something appeared in our vision that would be a portal into whatever was going to come forth onto the canvas. We were also instructed to stay out of our mind, not to try to manage the painting, and just allow whatever was present for us right then to emerge. As I began to see the portal appear through my evolutionary eyes, not my eyes of the flesh, my painting begged to emerge, to be born onto the canvas. It began to flow through “the eye of Spirit.”
As long as I stayed present with the process and went back in to the portal if I felt stuck, as long as I didn’t try to force anything, the painting kept painting itself. It truly was a “representation of my very own soul.” Six hours passed without any recognition of time. I was transformed by the process. I had found yet another “window to God”, that place within that knows.
This week I encourage you to take a step forward on a dream you may have that is held in waiting because of some sort of fear that holds it at bay. Communicate with that servant of the ego, that voice that thinks it is keeping you safe. Then ask your Essential/Authentic Self for help in believing in yourself. You are an evolutionary being here to serve through your gifts. Own that and be empowered to just say “yes” to life and your dreams.
Thank you for visiting my playground of transformation on this second day of spring! It’s a great time to come out and play. Enjoy the surroundings and next time bring your friends and families!
Many Blessings To You,

“Gradually the anxious, driven egoic self falls in love with its own Essence and invites its own higher self to take dominion within the ‘household of selves.’ We overcome the fundamental human illusion that we are separate from each other, from nature and from Spirit.” ~ Barbara Marx Hubbard
It seems we humans spend a lot of energy and time battling with our ego. Does this ring true for you? Are you aware of the seemingly constant conflict that goes on in your mind? If so, you’re not alone.
The “ego” is a word that has been volleyed around among many diverse groups for years and years. You hear the word ego used in psychology, spirituality, religion, philosophy and metaphysics. You hear from some that it is a dark, bad and evil aspect of yourself and something to get rid of if you want to be happy and healthy.
I would like to suggest that we look at the ego from another perspective, from a more integral perspective. I like to call this the “taming of the shrew.” By that I mean that we can embrace the ego for what it is and tame it to be an ally rather than an adversary for our own well-being and for the evolution of the consciousness of the whole of humanity.
We each have an opportunity to play a very important role in this evolution and we can begin by helping our egoic self fall in love with our divinity within. With commitment, willingness and practice we can move from ego to essence and bring our ego along for the journey, not try to rid ourselves of its importance in our evolution to higher consciousness.
How do we do this? We begin by acknowledging the job our ego has been doing in our lives to protect us. We thank it for the perpetual watch it has kept over us for our lifetime thus far. We uncover the reasons why we have felt like we needed its protection and look at these beliefs and ask if they are still true for us—do we still feel like we need protection and from what or whom? Most often the answer is “no” because they are usually beliefs we’ve been holding on to for a long time and we’ve grown beyond the need for any protection.
The next step is to connect with our essence, our Essential Self, our Authentic Self. This is that sacred place within each of us, our place of divinity and who we truly are. We do this by being still and reflective through some form of meditation. We ask to be connected to our Essential Self, to really feel that connection in our hearts. We sit in this energy every day until we know it intimately and start experiencing the divine impulse in that space. We begin to embody that essence and awaken to this divine impulse.
When we have attained this level of consciousness we then invite our egoic self to join us there. We want it to experience the love and joy of being in that place where there is no separateness, where there is union and only One. When the egoic self “falls in love” with this divine place, with its own higher self, we start releasing all feelings of fear, anxiety, anger and all lower level feelings and start living in that place of potentiality where anything is possible.
We begin to vibrate at a higher frequency and raise our consciousness to become a part of the new enlightenment, the evolutionary enlightenment that is urgently needed right now to co-create a new world, a world of cooperation, coherence and love for all that is.
My request for you this week is to consider this perspective of ego. Of course, this is very condensed information in this article but it’s a good starting place. When you feel the “anxious, driven egoic self” trying to control this week, invite it to calm down and join you in its own divine essence. That will be your taming of the shrew.
Thank you for visiting my playground of transformation once again. I appreciate your energy here and ask you to invite your friends and family to come a play as well. I look forward to seeing you back soon!
In Love and Light,

The less you open your heart to others, the more your heart suffers.” ~Deepak Chopra
This month of February is traditionally known as the heart month. We celebrate Valentine’s Day, the “day of love” right in the middle of the month. We see hearts in storefront windows, on candy boxes, on greeting cards and sometimes on billboards. It is one of the favorite holidays for many to celebrate.
Because this is the big day of the heart month I wanted to talk about “open” hearts. I have worked with many clients who ask, “What is an open heart? What does that mean and what does it look like?” or “How do I open my heart, and when I do, how do I keep it open?”
We have all had painful experiences in our lives that tend to close our hearts. We don’t want to feel that pain ever again so we build a fortress around our heart so no one can penetrate it again. The problem with this reaction is that it creates a fist-like clench that holds so tight it contracts our hearts and holds in the pain, the resentment, the anger, the blame and keeps them held there like prize possessions. With this closed heart life seems to be a struggle and not a very pleasant place to be. It is so contracted it almost hurts physically.
It is a natural reaction to want to protect ourselves after we have been hurt. What we need to realize is that a closed heart doesn’t allow qualities like happiness, joy, compassion and love to enter. It doesn’t allow us to feel compassion for others or ourselves. It doesn’t have room for opportunities and better things in our lives to manifest. In a closed heart there isn’t room for anything but pain. It grips onto that pain not understanding it is perpetuating the very feeling we are trying to protect ourselves from.
An open heart by contrast exposes the scars of our past without fear and with vulnerability. In an open heart there is room for healing, forgiveness, love, creativity, evolution, happiness and joy. There is room for connection with others and for growth in an open and expanded heart. There is room for new opportunities and we have the awareness to see these opportunities because we are in a more expansive consciousness when our hearts are open and full.
Someone with an open heart is easy to spot. There is light in their eyes and an inviting quality about them. They are approachable and genuinely interested in others. They shine their light wherever they go. There is certain lightness in their step and usually a smile on their face. There is an air of abundance all around them and people are easily drawn to them. They radiate love. This is what an open heart looks like.
So, how do you open your heart and how do you keep it open? It’s a choice, bottom line. It doesn’t matter what your material possessions are. There are some people who have nothing materially but choose to see life as a wonderful adventure. You’ve seen them. They’re playing music on the streets for others to enjoy or driving the bus with a big welcoming smile as you board. People who have open hearts do so by choosing to see the beauty around them and the preciousness of life itself.
You open your heart by saying a big “YES” to life. You choose love not fear, acceptance not judgment, forgiveness not blame, you choose to have a full heart not an empty one. And that is how you maintain an open heart—by your choices.
I will leave you with a quote today and a request that you practice keeping your heart open this week, this month, this year. When it starts to feel closed down and contracted, just drop into the feeling of one of the qualities of an open heart and feel it expand again.
“There is a light that shines beyond all things on earth, beyond the highest, the very highest of heavens. This is the light that shines in your heart.” ~Chandogya Upanishad
Thank you for coming to my playground of transformation! I hope you’ve enjoyed the material today and I look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

“If you pay close attention to your own experience, you will begin to realize that there is more to nothingness than meets the eye. The nothingness is not nothing. Nothing is happening there, and yet it is deeply compelling. If you get into a deep state of meditation it’s absolutely enthralling. There is something in the nothingness that, once discovered, is absolutely absorbing.” ~ Andrew Cohen
Flying for me is a very spiritual experience, especially when flying over the vast ocean. The perspective of the Universe from an airplane is so mystifying, so intriguing that it begs for my full attention. From this perspective I see the limitlessness of the Universe that is so deeply compelling and which draws me into a meditative state, into a state of nothingness.
Flying back to the mainland from Hawaii for hours and hours shows just how limitless the Universe is. I cannot even fathom with my small mind how many trillions of gallons of water are in the Pacific Ocean, let alone all the other oceans of the world. Letting go of my small mind and allowing myself to be embraced by the beauty and magnificence before me, I see each little wave below as a possibility. I see each cloud as a possibility. I see before me a multitude of infinite possibilities…and I wonder.
I wonder how I allow myself to fall into the trap of small mind and all the limits it likes to place on me. I wonder just what I could create if I continually stepped out of small mind and stepped into the Big mind of God. I know that all things are possible and yet sometimes I forget…that is until I see from a different perspective.
These wonderful experiences, like flying over the ocean and seeing the sphere of all possibility within it, are the moments I need to imprint in my mind. Then when I forget that I am not a limited being, that I have within me all that I need to imagine and create, I can call on them to help me remember.
And that is why I am writing this today. I want to remind myself and remind you of what powerful, limitless beings we truly are. When we tap into the divine impulse, the mind of God, we connect with that deep part of our inner world, our essence, and sense our potentiality. We have the potential for such creativity, such brilliance, such expansion of our consciousness that we can’t know it until we go into the nothingness and connect with what is happening there. And when we do, it is “absolutely absorbing.”
I challenge you to imagine if you dare to see yourself as vast and limitless as the ocean with waves of possibilities everywhere you look. Imagine that each one of these waves has the potential to carry your dreams and desires across the cosmic ocean of limitlessness. And if you come to your edges when you can’t imagine anything more, push beyond those edges. Don’t allow yourself to play small anymore. Play BIG in this game of life. Challenge that little voice telling you you can’t. Listen to the big voice that is telling you you can!
I also challenge you to find those opportunities that take you to that place of meditation that can absorb and enthrall you. It is deeply satisfying to be in that space, if even for a moment. It is that connection to the evolutionary impulse that will keep you moving forward on your journey with awe and wonder. It is that impulse that will lead you home. Feel it, welcome it, and follow it!
Thanks for visiting my playground of transformation! It is always a pleasure to have you join me here. Feel free to comment, like, share and/or bring your friends and family to visit and play. I look forward to seeing you here again!

“Joining together, we can ‘gentle the birth’ of a Universal Humanity and guide our Earth community into its next evolutionary stage.” ~ Barbara Marx Hubbard
As you are probably aware, there has been a lot of talk for quite some time about the end of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012 and what that means for modern humanity. The symptoms of all this hype are fear, trepidation, anxiety, a sense of doom and even speculation. Does the end of the Mayan calendar signify the end of the world?
I have been doing a lot of evolutionary work over the past year preparing myself for December 21st. I have known for a while now that I am here to hold space and energy for the healing of our world. The work has been to consciously evolve by choice, to pay attention to the subtle changes within my body and psyche, and to do my part in making a difference as we enter into this shift—this transition to a new face of humanity.
There are millions of co-creators around the world like myself who are doing their work as well to birth this new way of being. They are deciding that negativity and fear are not an option in this new world that has been gestating and is now ready to be born. They are Spiritual Warriors who are doing their part to shift to a new way of thinking and looking at our future. They are choosing love over fear, unity over self, oneness over separateness. They are believers in peace and forgiveness rather than conflict and victimhood. It’s an inside job for each and every one of us.
Is the end of the world coming on December 21, 2012? I believe not. I believe that certainly the end of the world as we know it will be happening over time as we witness the shift into a new age. We will witness the birth of a new age of creativity, co-creation, wisdom and life. If we stay conscious and aware and active we will witness evolution not extinction in our future.
Is it a critical time for humanity? Absolutely! Unless we evolve toward a more compassionate, loving, co-creative state of being we will most certainly face the possibility of destruction. That is why we are being called to start making conscious, evolutionary choices right now. Everyone is invited although some will decline the call. It is up to those of us who are willing to take personal responsibility and make a commitment to act now and do our part for birthing and nurturing this new Universal Humanity. Can we wait? No! The urgency of this calling is palpable.
Will you answer the call? Do you want to be an integral part of this shift, this birthing of an evolving and evolved Earth community? If your answer is “yes” then I urge you to go to www.Birth2012.com and spend some time there watching videos, reading articles, finding a hub near you to participate in. The birthdate of this new, exciting way of thinking is December 22, 2012. There is no time to waste! I challenge you to be fearless and join the millions of co-creators around the globe to mid-wife in a new, beautiful face to humanity.
Choosing to be a conscious evolutionary is a radical new way of thinking and seeing “reality” and seeking the truth in all situations. It has many challenges, but many, many more rewards. It is a process of moving beyond ego and into essence and seeing the oneness of all that is. It is a path that will take us to a decidedly different yet magnificent way of being. I commend you and honor you for taking the first step on this wondrous path. Namaste!
